Kaitlin & Ryan — Lewisburg

11304194_10108790172435864_1301773212_nKaitlin Davis, of Mifflinburg, and Ryan Schuck, of Selinsgrove, were married in a vintage classic wedding.

1980057_10108791163195374_5621477847257922832_oKaitlin and Ryan met while both were working at Planet Fitness in Shamokin Dam. She was taking classes at Susquehanna University and was about to start student teaching and Ryan had just returned from playing arena football. “It was definitely God overlapping our lives at the perfect time,” says Kaitlin. Ryan was hired as Kaitlin’s replacement at Planet Fitness during her student teaching, but she still worked on Saturdays. The pair didn’t work together, but all of their coworkers were adamant that they needed to meet each other. She kept hearing about Ryan and Ryan kept hearing about her. One evening Kaitlin went in to work out with a friend and he happened to be working. She was not looking for a relationship and neither was he, but God had other plans. He asked her out on a date that second time she came in.

11301420_10108790172460814_608858656_nThe proposal was a scavenger hunt that lead Kaitlin to important people in the pair’s lives giving her clues and scrapbook pages at different locations that had importance throughout their relationship. She received an empty scrapbook at the beginning and at each destination she received parts to the scrapbook that told their love story. Their parents, siblings, friends, and pastor…all very important people in out lives were the ones Kaitlin met along the way to receive the scrapbook pages and clues. Some of the destinations included the place they first met, the place they went on their first date to, place they had their first kiss and many other spots and locations that played an important role in their relationship. It all lead Kaitlin to Ryan being at her parents’ home where they spent a lot of time getting to know each other better while dating. He had lights the whole way up a hill, Christmas trees lit up, a roaring fire, and he was standing there waiting for her. Even though there were many people that were part of the proposal, it was just Ryan and Kaitlin when he asked her to marry him. “It was perfect and amazing. Something I will never forget!”
