The couple met on the first day of college at Lock Haven University in August of 2004. Ramsey was already sitting down early and eager for her first day of school for an 8 AM class. When Mark got to the door to walk into the classroom, he immediately noticed Ramsey and HAD to sit directly behind her. Mark said, “It was literally love at first sight- thank god she ended up being an awesome person and not just all looks-HA! For the first two years of school he tried to get Ramsey to hang out, play ping pong, come visit his new puppy- but she was all about partying and living free and he could never get her to just take the time to hang out and get to know one another.” One day it all changed and she finally wanted to stop by. The rest is history. She ended up moving into his college house, The Green Monster, and eventually moved in with his family immediately after college. The pair ended up buying a house together in August of 2013, got engaged in December of 2013, got married in November of 2014, and now she is 6 months pregnant!
The ring and the pickle. Yes, that’s right. This is how Mark asked her to marry him. Ramsey and her family have a tradition every Christmas Eve where they hide an ornament pickle on the tree and the first child to find it gets to open a special gift. So, what Mark did was hide the pickle on their very first Christmas tree together in their new house…but he had the ring tied to it with green ribbon! So when Ramsey found the pickle Mark told her there was a special gift, but little did she know it was a nice rock attached to the back of it.
