Jennifer, of Paxinos, and Raymond, of Elysburg, were wed in a rustic affair.
Ray and Jen met during her senior year of high school. They met at his house through a mutual friend. Jen says, “there was an instant connection between us and we started dating shortly after.” February 2014 marked their 7 year anniversary and the couple couldn’t be happier living in their home with two shar-pei mixes, Maggie and Lola.
Ray told Jen he had the ring for two weeks before he proposed! He said he really wanted it to be a surprise. He decided to do it on a day she was getting out of school early due to the snow. He said he was sitting at his desk at work and figured today would be the perfect day since she wouldn’t be expecting it. Once he found out she was getting out early he took a half day at work. Jen didn’t even realize Ray was home when she entered the house – he hid his car behind the garage (it took him 30 minutes to get it out of the snow later on). Jen was welcomed home by their dogs and as she turned to go into the living room…she was greeted by Ray on one knee, rose petals and candles everywhere. He had a country song on repeat, (Keith Urban – My Everything). He did a really good job at surprising her!
